buildings - Governors House, clubs, government offices, churches and
museum reflect their colonial antecedents
Even post-independence effort has not been able to entirely obliterate
the mark
left by the British Raj. Companies still use the word 'Imperial' in their names
and streets like Shakespeare Sarani, Middleton Row, Russel
Street and
many more reminds us of British presence
